March goals

Hellooo!

It’s hard to believe we’re back round to March again, but, then, time moves swiftly on whether I believe it or not.

As I talked about in my February wrap up post yesterday, I ended February feeling pretty burnt out and not at all interested in doing anything, let alone trying to be creative. I decided to try and take it easier on myself this month. Here’s the list we’re trying to get through —

  • finish second draft of YouTube novel
  • choose 2nd project to second draft
  • submit in PitMad
  • get 10 more crowns in French

I know that “finish second draft” seems like a big undertaking, and I’m not saying that it isn’t, but I am already most of the way there with the second draft. I also tend to think about second drafts as a slightly better version of a first draft — the overall structure of the plot is better, but it’s not like I have a masterpiece on my hands yet.

This feels manageable and — even more importantly — like I’m going to be asking just enough of myself this month. We’ll see, of course, how I feel come the 31st, but, for now, I’m optimistic.

How was your February? What are you looking forward to in March? I hope you and yours are doing well.

x Elle
